
APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
Consultations are made by appointment. You can make an appoinment either in person or by telephoning the practice on 9529-0125. Urgent problems will be dealt with as promptly as possible. Appointments are normally made at 15 minute intervals. If you are a new patient or have a list of problems or pap smear please indicate this when booking so we can make a longer appointment time. If you wish you may phone before your appointment time to check whether your doctor is running on time. If you need to cancel your appointment we would appreciate as much notice possible. We have set aside appointment times so that we can service emergencies with minimal disruption to our scheduled appointments. Urgent cases will be seen by the first available doctor.
Telephone Calls
In case of an emergency your call will be put through immediately to a doctor. Otherwise, consultations will not be interupted. Receptionstaff will take a message and you will be advised when it is likely that you doctor will return your call.
The Staff
Anna, Judy, Catherine, and Billi are our friendly "front of house" staff and will do everything they can to make your visit a pleasant experiance.
Facilities
Our brand new state of the art building consists of a spacious reception area with LCD screen and children's play area. A well-equpped treatment room is available. Wheelchairs have easy access. If you feel very unwell or believe you may have an infectious illness please let us know so we can accommodate you appropriately.
Patient Confidentiality
It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health records at all times.
Repeat Prescriptions
As a general rule prescriptions are issued as part of a consultation. If you have medical problems requiring ongoing medications, you will require checkups at regular intervals. Repeat prescriptions may be issued without consultation, however a small fee will apply.
Your View
If you have a problem we would like to hear from you. You may prefer to speak to the doctor, reception staff or practice manager, or prefer to write to us. We take all suggestions seriously.
Fees
We are a private billing practice fees are bases on a discount AMA rate. Pensioners recieve a further discounted rate, patients on Veterans' Affair benefits may sign the service voucher. The full schedule fees are displayed at the reception desk. We APPRECIATE PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF CONSULTATION as we do not issue accounts. We accept cash, major credit cards and EFTPOS.
Workers Compensation
Fees arising from work-related injuries are the responsibility of the patient. Generally, if the claim is accepted, Workcover NSW will reimburse these fees provided all the necessary forms are completed by the employer, patient and doctor.
Home Visits
These are available if you are too sick to come to the practice. This service ia available to loacl regular patients. Please make requests before 10am.
Reminder/Recall System
Our practice is committed to preventative medical care. We may issue you with a reminder notice regarding aspects of care. If you don't wish to be part of this system please inform your doctor.
