Appointment times are every 15 minutes. Longer consultations are available on request. Priority is given to those patients who arrive on time for their pre-booked appointments.
Absolute Priority is given to emergencies.
We look after our patients at all times of the day and night. When the surgery is closed, please telephone the doctor on the after-hours number, Eastern Suburbs Medical Service, 1300 729 749
The doctors do not give results for blood/urine/PAP tests, etc. over the telephone, in case of a breach of security or privacy, or in case you, the patient, is unable to understand. Patients are therefore requested to make follow-up appointments for test results. In the event of an urgent result, the doctor will contact you.
Our practice is committed to preventive care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventive health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let us know at reception.
Patients with Government Concession cards (Health Care Cards, Pension Cards, etc.), and patients under 16 years of age can be bulk-billed as long as a valid Medicare card is held. Patients without a current Medicare card are requested to pay at time of consultation. Information on current fees charged is available at reception. Medical Reports and consultations concerning established Workers Compensation and Third Party claims will be charged in accordance with the AMA Fee List. Patients are requested to check if there are any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in respect of specialist referrals, x-rays, etc
Home visits are available for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. The doctors in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and you will be advised by the reception staff when it is likely that the doctor will return your call. Your call will always be put through to the GP in an emergency.
